Picasso and Ceramics
Mediterranean Heritage
This event organized in the framework of Marseille Provence 2013 brought together works created mostly in Vallauris after the Second World War.
Less known than his paintings and sculptures, Picasso’s ceramics occupy a major space amongst in his creations.
In the 1950s, Pablo Picasso used ceramics in parallel with his paintings. Touch-to-all genius and a true bulimic, he left us many pieces bearing symbols of the Mediterranean civilization.
